It has been quite a year so far for Salt Hill Cider; starting with our CAMRA award back in May and then weeks of heat & sunshine have driven the thirst for cider across the land!

Our ciders have been a real hit at Burnham Park Festival, Bracknale Festival, and many others as far afield as Chelmsford.

This weekend we will have our cider at a couple of great local festivals, the Perseverance in Wraysbury are holding a cider festival and we will have three ciders on all weekend at the Ealing Beer & Cider Festival which has great public transport links and some very fine ciders.Congrats Greg (1)

a8779d78274cc34fe0a62abcdaf89d15Less than a week now until until the longest day of the year and Salt Hill Cider is starting the celebrations this weekend with two cracking local events; on Friday we will be selling five of our ciders in Windsor at the historic Guildhall next door to the castle. It has been rumoured that Liz & Phil might pop down for a couple of pints of our Camra award winning Autumn Gold!

It should be a great evening of alfresco drinking and the weather is set to be properly summery so I might even serve the ciders with a little ice! We will be starting around 5pm and finishing about 9.30pm and draught pints and also bottles will be available throughout.

On Saturday three of our ciders will be available at the Burnham Park Beer & Music Festival, live bands will be playing all through the day and night at what should be a really good event. Public transport to Burnham is good so this a chance to make the most of the scorching weather and relax with some live music and top notch local drinks.

We are set for a week of fine weather this week and this weekend is a Bank Holiday which will offer the chance to try some of our award winning cider at a few local events.

The famous White Horse Beer festival in Hedgerley is on from Friday and we will be appearing there.

We will also be on show at two other local beer festivals over the weekend at the Barleycorn in Cippenham and at Bracknell Rugby Club.

Three good events in Berks & Bucks to choose from and enjoy some cider in the sunshine!

One doesn’t like to blow one’s own trumpet but 2017 has got off to a good start for us!

At the Camra National Cider competition held at Reading Beer & Cider Festival we did rather well.

Our Autumn Gold won the South Of England award in 2014 and again in 2016, this year we did even better and won the Silver Medal in the national competition!

Next year we will be back again to try for the elusive Gold Medal but to be honest it’s a real buzz for an Eastern counties cider maker to be competing on the same stage as the West Country legends.

The picture is of the award ceremony which was held at Salt Hill Towers last weekend with me being presented by Chris Rouse of Camra’s APPLE committee and who is a stalwart of the Eastern counties cider fraternity.

Congrats Greg (1)

Great result for Salt Hill Cider at Reading Beer & Cider Festival this weekend; after winning two regional awards in previous years this year we came second in the national awards! Well chuffed to win the silver against such strong competition.

Reading Beer FestSalt Hill Cider will be available at Reading Beer & Cider Festival from Thursday this week.

We will have 3 of our ciders available including the current CAMRA South Of England champion, Autumn Gold.

This is a great event for cider fans with more than 100 to choose from and the national cider judging will also take place to decide the champion for 2017.

If anyone wants to try some Salt Hill and have a natter about all things cider I will be there all day on Thursday.

On Saturday 13th may 2017 we will be presented with our  CAMRA  South Of England cider award.

To celebrate this we will be holding an event at our premises in Slough , from 3pm until 7pm we will be giving tasters of the full range of our ciders and you can meet all the crew and see the production equipment and also we will have a bar available and food throughout.

Please join us for this celebration event; for further information please contact
