2018 will be the 10th and final year for Salt Hill Cider; we have been making real cider from local fruit for a decade now and I have decided to call time on the adventure. We have been fairly successful with winning a fair few fans and picking up some awards including runner up in the Camra National Cider Awards in 2017. We have tried to be part of the artisan movement to fight back against the big corporate businesses that have virtually driven the traditional regional ciders from the land with their cheap watery products. Sadly the battle is unlikely to be won by the quality craft producers in the commercial sector but there are still some pubs and festivals where you can get the real thing if you look around.
For our final year we will be offering a new cider alongside our regular ones.
From March through to the end of summer our Green Man cider will be available, it is a blend of new season and vintage cider slightly green in colour and with a great fruity flavour which is 5% in strength.
